Performance characteristics of glass insulators

High mechanical strength: The surface of glass insulators has high mechanical strength, making them less prone to cracking and slower to age.
Convenient self explosion detection: It has the self elimination ability of "zero self explosion", which can be observed on the ground or in a helicopter without the need to climb the pole and detect each piece, reducing the labor intensity of workers. The products introduced into the production line have an annual self breakage rate of 0.02% -0.04%, which can save maintenance costs on the circuit.
Superior insulation performance: During operation, the new surface of glass insulators subjected to lightning burns remains a smooth glass body with a tempered internal stress protection layer, thus maintaining sufficient insulation performance and mechanical strength.
Uniform voltage distribution: With a large main capacitance and uniform voltage distribution in series, it is beneficial to reduce the voltage borne by insulators near the wire side and grounding side, thereby achieving the goal of reducing radio interference, reducing corona losses, and extending the life of glass insulators.
